As Sweden's largest housing platform - and one of the most used digital products in Sweden - millions of users enjoy what we build every week. Even though we've been around for over two decades to build stable products, we're focused on working with efficiency and delivering top quality, always with our users' needs as a priority.
How do we build?
At Hemnet, you'll be part of shaping the future of how people sell and buy their homes. Experimenting, evaluating and developing will be part of your day. Our large user base gives us data-driven guidance in a short amount of time. What we develop in the morning is often in production for our users by lunch.
We work across three main areas: the Sellers domain, Consumer domain, and B2B domain, along with the Enablers team. We always focus on collaboration, both within and across all domains.
We also develop a powerful, engaging, and stable application platform that allows development teams to release and maintain their products.
What do we build?
We develop a variety of different solutions, products and tools, to name a few:
Location discovery, recommended listings & notification tools, API:s, payment solutions, search tools, integrations, data provisioning & pricing tools, back office systems & tools for CI/CD, release pipeline and monitoring.
We always welcome new ideas and encourage our developers to try new things - we don't let perfect stand in the way of good.
One of our goals is to have a 40/60 % gender balance within tech. We are on our way!

Why do you enjoy working at Hemnet?

One thing I like about working at Hemnet is our technical environment where we can make continuous changes and improvements. The time from an approved pull request to live in production is about fifteen minutes. Another thing I like is the freedom we have to choose the tools we are working with

I'm responsible for the Enabling Domain at Hemnet, which consists of multiple engineering teams working alongside other teams and supporting operations. But that's not the main reason you'll find me here 😊 I love being part of a company where we solve problems that impact millions of users. I relish the opportunity to work day-to-day with engineers and engineering leaders, helping them develop their skills and competence by fostering a culture of continuous learning and mutual support.
