As a Financial Controller, you will play a key role in financial processes at Hemnet. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial reporting, aligned with IFRS standards. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop and have an impact on your role and the team's ways of working. 

About the role: 

• Accounting & Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with IFRS and other regulatory standards (including tax)
• Regulatory Compliance: Staying up-to-date on and adapting to IFRS changes
• System & Process Optimization: Lead the development and enhancement of financial reporting systems while continuously documenting, evaluating, and improving existing processes and routines to ensure increased efficiency and quality
• Risk & Internal Control: Participating in the company’s annual risk and internal control process

We're looking for:

We are looking for someone who is highly organized and able to maintain structure as well as being adaptable to change. Building and maintaining strong relationships across the organization is key in this role, as you will collaborate with several other teams. We are looking for someone with a proactive mindset, and an eye for identifying opportunities to improve processes and drive continuous development.

• Educational Background: M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Business Administration or similar field, preferably with a specialization in Accounting. 
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a similar role with a strong foundation in accounting and financial reporting. 
• Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of IFRS standards and comprehensive accounting principles. 
• System Proficiency: Strong skills with financial reporting systems and related tools (such as MS Excel). 
• Audit Experience: Prior experience in financial audit is meritorious
