About the role 🍏

As an Analytics Engineer, you will be a key player in our journey to empower the organization to become more data-driven. Sitting within the Analytics team, you will act as a vital bridge between raw data and meaningful business logic. Because this role connects technical infrastructure with business needs, strong communication is essential.

By focusing on the "back end" of business intelligence to ensure our data is clean, reliable, and well-modeled, you will play a crucial part in helping Hemnet continuously improve and become better for everyone.

What you’ll do 💥

• Build and develop data models, taking responsibility for structuring the data that forms the foundation for analysis, reporting, and future AI solutions.

• Conduct analysis and ad-hoc explorations to answer complex business questions, helping stakeholders across Hemnet turn raw data into insights.

• Improve our self-service capabilities, enabling more colleagues to find answers independently through robust data architecture.

• Occasionally support the development of essential reports and dashboards to ensure data is visualized effectively.

Who we think you are 🤩

In order to be successful in this role we believe that you have an educational background with a strong technical focus and a few years of experience working as an Analytics Engineer, Data Analyst or Business Intelligence Developer. As a bridge between technical and business teams, you excel at tailoring your communication and insights for everyone from Sales and Business Development to the leadership group.

• Strong SQL and sound judgement in data modelling.

• Professional experience with dbt.

• Passionate about using your data models to solve real-world business problems alongside your stakeholders.

• Experience partnering across departments and strong business acumen.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swedish.

• Bonus if you have experience in:
  - Tableau
  - A semantic or metrics layer
  - AI-powered self service analytics
  - Python

My name is Thomas Hanusek. I joined Hemnet about four years ago. Prior to that, I drove analytics for more than 20 years across different companies. My passion at work is really about seeing how Data & analytics can drive product and business development in the best way possible.
