As an Android Developer, you will work in one of our product development teams as well as playing a big role in our App community consisting of 7 Android Developers and 11 iOS Developers working daily in creating a crisp and delightful UI for our users.

You will join our Account team which is at the heart of Hemnet’s personalized experience, with the mission to guide users to relevant personalized content and to unify user identity and CRM to enable cohesive and personalized communication.You will contribute to all stages in the product life cycle: design, implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance. Together with us you will have the ability to create a big impact on what we build and how we build it, as each team is in control of their own product decisions.

We work with a data-driven approach in close collaboration with each other - exploring, testing and iterating. Thanks to our large amount of traffic, we quickly validate against real data and learn from new insights.

🌱 What you will do

• Create high-quality and robust features, owning the development process from planning to final delivery and follow up.

• Work closely with passionate and experienced product managers, designers, and other engineers with different backgrounds to plan and ensure high-quality results.

• Be an active participant in the App Community and wider product development team at Hemnet.

• Proactively improve the product by fixing, maintaining, organising and automating.

Who are you? 🤩
To become successful in this position you are reasonably up to date with the latest Android coding standards and are excited to keep up to date with the latest Android technologies.You also enjoy knowledge sharing and learning together, putting extra effort into code reviews (which also makes work more fun). With an eye for design, you always strive to create simple and easy-to-understand solutions. You have experience working with consumer facing apps focusing on external users. We also believe you have worked with different kinds of release processes and truly believe in the value of automated testing.

I’m your new manager 👋
Hi! My name is Staffan, and I’ll be your new manager. I’ve been at Hemnet since 2019 but just recently joined our domain called Consumers. I’m really excited to support the teams that will be working on many new and important areas for Hemnet – including personalization and smarter search features.

My leadership style is listening, transparent, accessible, and supportive, while also challenging you to take your next step. Hopefully, we’ll learn a lot from each other and have plenty of fun as we break new ground at Hemnet. As a team, we get things done; we know when and where value can be added, and we’re clear on our priorities.
